Right Place Right Time Part 2 “The Golden Hour”
Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 8:54PM Aaaaahh. That magical time just as the sun is setting in the west. Only then can you get color like this. The sun was shining it’s beautiful, golden light straight down Main Street. No real special setup lighting wise here. Good ole’ Mother Nature jumped right in and said here you go have all you want. And take it we did.
This first shot is, as you all should know by now, the lovely Leigha sporting some sweet shades. Taken with the 50mm 1.8. Such a wonderful and cheap lens. Up next is the ever beautiful, Samantha, sporting classy shades. I tell ya the sun just loved these girls this day.
I must say I was a little apprehensive this day cause we did get a late start. I really wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to make anything happen in the short amount of time we had to shoot. Usually I’m kind of slow and methodical when I’m shooting. I think this was a great learning experience on how to make things happen when you are limited by how much time you have to get things done. Of course Leigha and Sammy were just terrific. Considering this was the first time I had worked with Sammy I wasn’t sure how it was going to go. Me and Leigha go way back. But I have to say they both rocked it this day.
I’m so lucky to have found two great people willing to put up with my craziness and often awkwardness. I have learned a lot about shooting models from them. “Give direction here” “Speak out more” “Express your vision” “Get me a drink!”.
As always thanks ladies and thanks to all who took time out of their day to check out my little space on the planet.
Peace

HAHA, I can't wait until you work with a real DiVa Eric! That will be a sight to see. Sam and I are very go with the flow, many aren't! But we love working with you and are looking forward to the next shoot! I have an idea or two of my own if we'd like to venture those!
